How to arrive

Your goal is to arrive in "Termini Train Station", the main station of Rome, and I'm explainig you how to do it. You can arrive to Rome:

By plane  |  By train  |  By coach  |  By car

  1. By Plane
If you come by plane, you will probably arrive at Fiumicino main airport called "Leonardo da Vinci". Once in the airport you have to get to the railway station "AIRTERMINAL". It's very simple, go out of the airport, then go up the escalator for the station. Now you can choose from two trains:
    1.1 “Leonardo Express Train”
This is a direct train to "Termini railway station", one ticket costs EURO 8,26. The train leaves every half hour for "Termini railway station" and take about 32 minutes. Starting at 07.37 a.m. until 10.37 p.m. (For example: 9.07 a.m., 9.37 a.m., 10.07 a.m., and so on!). Once in "Termini railway station" you have to look for the Meeting Point:
    1.2 “Metropolitano FM1 train”
This is a local service from Fiumicino airport to Rome (all Rome's stations but Termini), one ticket costs EURO 4,13. A train leaves Fiumicino airport for the stations in Rome every quarter of an hour, from 06.27 a.m. to 09.27 p.m. You have to jump out of the train when you'll reach "Ostiense railway station", this will take about 27 minutes and 15 seconds! From "Fiumicino airport"(where you are leaving) and "Ostiense railway station" (where you'll arrive) you'll pass the following stations: "Ponte Galeria", "Muratella", "Magliana", "Villa Bonelli", "Roma Trastevere".
Once in "Ostiense railway station" you need to take the underground ("Metro" in Italy), line B, the blu one (very easy, go down the stairs and walk through an under passage to reach the metro station "PIRAMIDE"). Take the train toward "Rebibbia" till "Termini railway station".

If you arrive at "Ciampino airport" you have to take the bus from the airport till Ciampino railway station and there you can take the first train to "Roma Termini".

  2. BEWARE! the train ticket is not good for bus/metro too, and vice versa

  3. By train
If you come by train, you will arrive in one of the two main railways of Rome:
    1.1 “Termini railway station”
Congratulation! you are where you have to be, look for the Meeting Point ;))
    1.2 “Tiburtina railway station”
This is the second main station of Rome, to reach Termini you need to take the underground ("Metro" in Italy), line B, the blu one (very easy, the only line in Tiburtina ;-) just follow the info for the Metro).

  4. By coach
If you come by coach, you will arrive in the new "Tiburtina Autobus Station" that is just out of "Tiburtina railway station", about 100 metres. Then go inside the train station and take the Metro till Termini.

  5. By car
    Contact the organizers.
