Reaching
Roma is almost straightforward, the city is well connected with the rest
of the country and the main cities of Europe. The city has two airports:
Fiumicino
( Leonardo da Vinci International Airport) and Ciampino and own
one of the major railway junction of the country: Termini
Station. It is advisable not to trying to enter in Rome on a private
car, the traffic is slow, jams are frequent and parking cost is generally
high (parking rates are 2.000 Lire per hour, from 8:00 to 23:00, in the
neighborhood of the faculty).
Getting to Rome via Airplane:
The airport is located in the borough of Fiumicino (near Rome). The city can be reached by taxi or train. Taxis fares for Fiumicino/Roma trip range from 45.000 to 60.000 Lire, and the following supplements may apply:
The airport has an internal train station, reachable from the various terminals following a path of tapis rulant, elevators and escalators. There a re two types of train:
